Local Leadership, Statewide Impact: Community Reinvestment in Action
Led by Washington’s Local Workforce Development Boards
Across Washington, Local Workforce Development Boards are turning state investment into real community outcomes through the Community Reinvestment Program (CRP) and Economic Security for All (EcSA). By pairing business support with workforce training and career pathways, these locally led efforts are strengthening businesses, supporting workers, and building long-term economic stability.
Over the past year and a half, thousands of businesses have engaged with the workforce system for the first time, with millions invested directly into local employers. Workers and families have also benefited through career incentives and matched savings programs that support education, employment, and milestones like homeownership.
As CRP moves into a new biennium, early results show continued momentum despite tighter funding. Local Workforce Development Boards remain critical to advancing inclusive, community-driven economic growth across Washington.
