Local Workforce Development Boards (LWDB) play a key role in making sure employers have opportunities to highlight career opportunities, find local skilled talent, promote openings and help support training pathways. Our local teams have developed and oversee workforce strategies and plans that they can directly provide, partner alongside or help promote such event experiences.

There is a critical need for skilled workers and apprenticeship programs provide a way to train and develop new workers. Learn more about how employers can take advantage of training funds that support industry career pathways and align with local training partner organizations.
Building Community Talent Connections
Local Workforce Boards, their teams and workforce partners can provide funding for training, information on work opportunity tax incentive programs and help create a talent pipeline with local community based organizations. We provide oversight of the Department of Labor’s American Job Centers program, which is branded as WorkSource® in our state, where you can receive services at locations throughout the state and online at WorkSourceWA.
